2021 IADR John Gray Fellowship

Dear NOF members,

The IADR Scandinavian Division (NOF) has the privilege of selecting the 2021 IADR John Gray Fellowship recipient this year.  Please see details about this Fellowship on the Web site at:  IADR John Gray Fellowship. 

Awarded every two years, the purpose of this fellowship is to allow a  dental or postgraduate student to obtain training and experience in  dental or related research. This Fellowship is in tribute to John A.  Gray, former Executive Director of IADR, and is funded out of donations  from members and sponsors. The IADR expects to fund this Fellowship to the amount of US$10,000. The  funds will be provided to the successful candidate through their  supervisor or dean and an account of how the funds are expended will be  provided to IADR/AADR Global Headquarters. This Fellowship is in tribute  to John A. Gray, former Executive Director of IADR, and is funded out  of donations from members and sponsors.

Eligibility

  • The student must be registered in an accredited or acceptable dental school or in a recognized formal postgraduate program.
  • The student must be in a training program in the NOF Division.
  • The student should be sponsored by their faculty advisor/direct supervisor or the Dean of the School.
  • Candidates may have a college or advanced degree in a discipline other than dentistry.
  • Candidates MUST be an IADR member.

How to Apply

  • The applicant should submit a proposal for the fellowship to the NOF Division Secretary.
  • The proposal should outline the following:
  • The precise title of the subject to be studied.
  • Detailed description of the subjects to be covered in the training program.
  • Practical use to which the training acquired would be put.
  • Proposed duration and dates of the fellowship.
  • Institute(s) and country it is proposed to visit.
  • Reasons for particular institute(s).
  • Previous fellowships/awards.
  • Budget for program.

Please send your applications to NOF (Ulvi Gürsoy ulvi.gursoy@utu.fi). Deadline for applications is November 27, 2020.  

NOF board will assign a review committee to evaluate the applications. Committee will select the fellowship recipient and will then send the candidate’s  name and application to the IADR Global Headquarters for approval.

The Fellowship is announced at the IADR General Session and Exhibition.
