NOF Travel Stipends and The NOF Hatton Award Competition

 

NOF TRAVEL STIPENDS

The Scandinavian division of IADR (NOF) offers travel stipends to young researchers attending the CED-IADR/NOF Oral Health Research conference that will be held in Vienna, Austria 21 – 23 September 2017. NOF will celebrate its 100 years anniversary and will therefore award a total of 50 stipends, each of SEK 5000. Applicants for the NOF travel stipend must submit an abstract for presentation at this meeting. The selection of stipend recipients will be based on a competition for the best submitted abstract. A scientific committee will be responsible for the selection.

Application, copy of the abstract and a confirmation letter must be sent to NOF board member Gunhild.Strand@uib.no . Deadline 1 June 2017.

Abstracts without an appropriate confirmation letter will NOT be considered. The letter should explain the applicant’s connection with dental research, and name the supervisor and the institute where the researcher and supervisor are based. If a paper is withdrawn, the stipend will NOT be disbursed. The applicant must be a member of the IADR/NOF. Winners will be informed during summer 2017.

THE NOF HATTON AWARD COMPETITION

Young researchers are invited to enter the Nordic HATTON AWARD COMPETITION in Vienna, Austria 21 – 23 September 2017. The objective of the award is to encourage and reward outstanding young dental scientists. There will be two Nordic winners in this competition and each will receive a stipend of € 1000 and automatic admission and expenses for travel and accommodation to attend the international HATTON awards competition, to be held at 96th General Session & Exhibition of the IADR/Pan European Regional Congress, London, England 25 – 28 July 2018.

Applicants for the Nordic HATTON AWARD COMPETITION must submit an abstract for presentation at the meeting in Vienna, Austria. Application, a copy of the abstract and a covering letter must be sent to NOF board member Gunhild.Strand@uib.no. Only members of the IADR /NOF may participate in this competition. Deadline 1 June 2017.
