European Journal of Oral Sciences
European Journal of Oral Sciences is the official publication of NOF – Scandinavian Division of the International Association for Dental Research. It is an international, multidisciplinary non-profit journal, which publishes original high quality research papers within clinical dentistry, on all basic science aspects of structure, chemistry, developmental biology, physiology and pathology of relevant tissues, as well as on microbiology, biomaterials and the behavioural sciences as they relate to dentistry.
The journal employs no page charges, no page limits, and colour illustrations are published free of charge.

Historical milestones:
1893: Founded as the Odontologisk Tidskrift, published in Gothenburg, Sweden
1917: Nordisk Odontologisk Förening (NOF) founded in Gothenburg, Sweden
1918: Odontologisk Tidskrift taken over by NOF to become the property and responsibility of NOF
1969: NOF is approved as the Scandinavian Division of IADR
1970:
– J.J. Pindborg, Copenhagen, Denmark becomes the Editor
– Odontologisk Tidskrift changes name to Scandinavian Journal of Dental Research
– Editorial policy change and all papers are subsequently published in English
1995:
– Anders Linde, Gothenburg, Sweden takes over as Editor
– Scandinavian Journal of Dental Research changes name to European Journal of Oral Sciences.
– The European Journal of Oral Sciences becomes the official organ also for the Continental Division of the IADR and remains as such for a decade
2002: Introduction of several Associate Editors besides the Editor-in-Chief
2005: Transition from snail-mail to complete on-line electronic office
2016: Vibeke Baelum, Aarhus, Denmark takes over as Editor-in-Chief
